Babyscoop is your first stop to get the unvarnished truth about baby products from the best experts of all - other parents!

We created the babyScoop™ out of our own frustration at not being able to find an up-to-date, reliable and trusted source of information about baby products -- all in one place. Our hope is that the babyScoop™ will be a resource for parents to make purchasing baby products easier, more informed (fewer mistakes), and even a little inspiring

1. In order for us to maintain the integrity and quality of our reviews you will be asked to register with the babyScoop™ to write reviews. Registering is a fast and simple process.
2. From the homepage, click on the “Write a Review” button.
3. Select the category of the product you want to review from the drop-down list provided.
4. Next, select the specific product from the drop-down list for that category. Note: if you do not find your product, just Select the Add a new product to the babyScoop™ link on the Write a Review form..
5. Fill in the "Write a review" form.
6. Once you have finished writing your review and rating the product, click on the "Preview" button at the bottom of the page
7. You can now see your review as it will appear. If you are happy with what you’ve written, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. If not, you may select “Edit” and return to the review form to make any revisions you’d like.

Our rating system is a unique algorithm based on the individual rankings (Style factor, Rough & Ready factor, Wallet factors, Overall Scoop), as well as the quantity and recency of submitted reviews.

The quality of our reviews is solely the responsibility of the parents who write them. We do not correct or alter the reviews in any way. Any reviews containing so many errors as to be confusing, or which we judge to be inappropriate or offensive will not be posted to the site. Please refer to our review guidelines for more information.

It usually takes 24 hours for a review to be posted.

Definitely let us know! We try to keep the site up to date with the latest products. With so many new ones coming out every day we are bound to miss a few. If you would like to write a review of a product not in our data base please try the following:

1. Select “Write a Review” from the global site navigation
2. Login (if not logged-in already)
3. Select the Add a new product to the babyScoop™ link on the Write a Review form.
4. You will be taken to the “Add and Review a New product” form. A blank text box will allow you to type in the name of a new product.
5. Write your review as you normally would, and submit.
6. If you still have problems, contact us.

Please contact us and give us some information about the review you wrote: the product, title, the rating, the date and the product it is meant to be for. We’ll be more than happy to make things right.

We will only post one review per product per reviewer. This ensures that our rating scale is not skewed. If you would like to review a more recent version of a product –we encourage you to do so. If you change your mind about a product you have reviewed or feel that your review was inaccurate – please contact us and we can remove your product review and/or allow you to write a new one. Please remember to include as much detail about your review as possible: product, title, and date. We will contact you once it has been removed.

Absolutely not. Our site is available for anyone to browse through and read as many reviews as they wish. However, if you would like to write reviews you must be a registered member of the babyScoop™.

There are many benefits to becoming a member of the babyScoop™. Not only will you have access to unbiased reviews of over 700 baby products but you can:

Some reviewers, due to the quality and sheer number of their insights and reviews, are conferred a special status. We call them ScoopGurus. In our reviews these super-reviewers will be identified with a unique icon.

Join our community, let others know about your baby product experiences, let us in on any new products you think need “the scoop”, and finally…keep those reviews coming. We regularly review our community of contributors to identify the next crop of gurus.

Yes. We won’t post any reviews that are not considered relevant to parents. Reviews that appear to be fake, contain insults, profanity, inappropriate or threatening language are also unacceptable. Please see our review guidelines.

That’s understandable –everyone has different experiences with products. As long as you are friendly and not insulting, it is fine to disagree with another review through our discussion forums. The best thing you can do is to write a review of your own experience.

Definitely not. We do not accept payment in exchange for a review, opinion, recommendation or endorsement and we will not provide special treatment to companies who advertise on our site.

Through our advertising partnerships. The text and graphical advertising are all paid for by advertisers. But we’ll do our utmost to ensure that the advertising on our site is helpful and relevant to parents and not overly-intrusive or annoying. We are committed to safeguarding the honest and unbiased nature of the reviews and opinions on our site. Our content integrity will never be compromised by any advertising.
